Forest School -

Forest school takes place on the school field and small wooded area within the school grounds. The children need to be provided with a change of weather appropriate clothing (long trousers and long-sleeved tops to minimise stings and scratches). As we progress into Autumn and Winter we recommend layering clothing and ensuring warm socks are provided along with suitable footwear. Please check that boots still fit. School uniform is not appropriate Forest School clothing. There are waterproof trousers and jackets available in school, if needed, but these will not keep the children warm without layers underneath.

When safe and appropriate to do so, we will be learning about fire lighting, with the aim of being able to build a small fire for cooking. If you have any concerns about your child having marshmallows, plain biscuits, chocolate biscuits, popcorn or instant drinking hot chocolate, please email office@bramley.surrey.sch.uk.

PE - Wednesdays & Fridays

PE is an important part of the children’s physical development and wellbeing. We want to maximise the time that the children have for their PE lesson by asking children to come to school already dressed in their PE kit on the days they have a PE lesson.

When the weather is cooler, the children can wear black jogging bottoms or black leggings instead of shorts. Please ensure your child has a suitable pair of shoes for PE and the school day – trainers will be allowed. Plimsolls may not be suitable to wear all day if the weather is wet or cold.

Children should wear their school jumper/cardigan over their PE kit.

Children who attend an after-school club on their non PE day will need to bring in a suitable kit to change into for the club if required.

There may be special events or occasions we ask children to wear their uniform on a PE day e.g. school photo day. We will contact families if there is any change.
